Brendan Geyer knows how to make a business succeed. Succeed beyond even the most optimistic expectations.
Brendan has been on a remarkable journey since he started in the family business 25 years ago. He quickly became Managing Director and set about turning a traditional small-time operation into a blueprint for success.
In 2001, Brendan Geyer established News to Business with a focus on helping businesses achieve real net profit and improve their efficiency and quality of life by implementing simple, practical systems.
Some five years on, News to Business has over 300 retail clients in Australia. His passion remains with every success story.
Committed to ensuring clients achieve their targets, in March 2005 Brendan established The Newsagent Challenge, an innovative and exciting 12 month programme developed to benefit Newsagents around Australia. The programme is designed to increase sales, and therefore profits, of Newsagencies whilst at the same time rewarding, motivating and inspiring owners and their staff. Brendan’s monthly phone conferences are a source of inspiration to the participants.
Brendan is an accomplished presenter. He has delivered presentations and or training for companies such as Connections with ACP, Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, VANA and John Sands. Brendan has also established his own successful presentations. The Newsagent Mastery conference is held 3 times per year, and empowers Newsagents with strategies to use their business as a vehicle to wealth. The Millionaire Newsagent with a Purpose one day workshops are also held 3 times a year in all major capitals. These workshops aim to reinforce the strategies set about on The Newsagent Challenge, and motivate participants to continue along the path to success.
On top of this, Brendan has authored articles for the National Newsagent Magazine, and developed a series of four DVDs entitled 'Newsagent Essentials'.
Brendan talks about vision, goal-setting, planning, commitment, promotion, marketing, persistence, patience, problem-solving, risk-taking, training, teamwork, delegation, and good old-fashioned "hard yakka." Not forgetting the need to "love what you do." All are components of planning, performing and prospering.
He presents with humour, warmth, passion, and from experience and can encourage and motivate people into taking the great leap forward.
